I believe a better understanding of your body and it’s nervous system responses helps you to meet moments in a new way.

Just like external circles of support matter, having tools for a supportive internal environment matters too.

This is the work I offer: the interplay of life, body, breath, thoughts, emotions, sensations, experience, conscious and subconscious expectations and how this all resides in the body, impacts us and those around us.  

This all gets amplified during the journey into parenthood.

Maybe you’ve heard the words Matrescense, Patrescence, Parentscence - the process of significant psychological, emotional, social, and hormonal changes that happen when someone become a parent.

Whether this is your first pregnancy or fifth, my aim is to meet you where you are and offer the support you need from preparing for conception, through the tender postpartum season and beyond into future, big ,life transitions.

My goal is to empower you with experiential learning that opens a pathway to body-led, physiologic birth. Understand and interrupt the fear > pain > tension feedback loop. Learn ways to work with contractions rather than fight against them. Practice pelvic floor awareness that absolutely helps during the pushing phase.

Our childbirth education programs are distinctive in that they also encourage contemplation of after baby is born, helping to navigate circles of support for your postpartum.

Postpartum isn't about returning to who you were before pregnancy — it's about getting to know all the new layers of who you are now. Learning doesn’t end when your baby is born; I also offer Restore Your Core + Pelvic Floor, and Intimacy After Birth + Beyond workshops.

Bodywork

As a Spinning Babies® Aware Bodywork Practitioner, Somatic and Cranial Sacral Practitioner, I specialize in releasing tension, reducing pain, exploring the mind body connection, creating better balance in your body which allows more space for uterus + baby to help create a smoother passageway: physically, mentally and emotionally during labor and birth.

Movement

Intentional, nourishing movement and a whole-body approach to strengthening is enormously beneficial for both you and your baby. Not only will you feel better during pregnancy, it prepares you for birth and a smoother postpartum recovery. There is a lot of information circulating around out there - it can leave you wondering what’s the best, safest things I should be doing during pregnancy and postpartum. Movement programming intentionally supports your body, your baby’s position, your nervous system and prepares your muscles and ligaments for childbirth and helps you reconnect with yourself after birth. My therapeutic, functional, whole-body approach incorporates how to bring what we do in a class or private session into your daily life. So you can easily incorporate it in.
